The Clarke Foley Centre organises a range of classes and groups for people over 50. All groups cost £25 per term, or £70 per year unless otherwise stated. Guests can usually be accommodated at £4.00 per session. For more information use the contact details given below.

Geology Monday.  January 9th; 16th, 23rd, 30th; February 6th, 13th, 2017.

A popular six week course ‘An Introduction to Geology and Landscape’ run by William Varley of the West Yorkshire Geology Trust.  

The course programme includes rocks, minerals and fossils, the earth’s history and structure, and the landscapes of Northern Britain. This is geology made fun and interesting by a lively and enthusiastic expert; plenty of opportunity to feel, smell and even taste the rocks.

Lindsay Kitching runs a Meet and Make Sewing Class at the Clarke Foley Centre on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm-4pm.  If you’ve ever wanted to wear tailor made this is the class for you.  Lindsay specialises in tailoring and students learn how to make a pattern and adjust it to your body shape and size.  This term the students projects include a man’s shirt and a ladies tailored two piece, and male and female students are welcome.  Lindsay teaches tailoring and sewing techniques in a friendly and light hearted way that enables all students to produce a well made garment.  The cost is £25 per term.
