Can you help Clarke Foley survive the Coronavirus Crisis?
For almost 40 years Clarke Foley has served the community and now we urgently need your help to
protect our future.
Since we closed our centre on 19th March 2020, we have had no income although we are still maintaining the charity and the building. It is possible that we may not have the funds to re-open after the Coronavirus lockdown ends.
We are appealing to the local community to help us raise the £15,000 per month we need to ensure our services continue post this crisis. If you or a family member have used Clarke Foley for the many activities we used to run, please can you make a donation to help ensure we can be here for the long-term.
Donate through our website by clicking on the DONATE button on the top right hand side of our home page. Or send a cheque together with a gift aid form to Clarke Foley, Cunliffe Road, Ilkley LS29 9DZ.
Why is Clarke Foley so special?
As Chair of the Board of Directors of Clarke Foley, I would like to tell you more about why the charity needs your help at this time.
We are proud to serve our older friends in the community. We run a café and hold activities such as keep fit, an art group, music groups, indoor bowling and our twice weekly lunch clubs serving a
homemade hot meal.
For many people in Ilkley, Clarke Foley is a special place and we believe quite a unique place. Many people tell us they don’t know of any other place like Clarke Foley.
Some of you may be aware we had been planning building work to improve the centre. This plan is now on hold indefinitely.
Our main focus right now is on surviving this current crisis and to be in a position that the venue can re-open when the time is right.
If you have used Clarke Foley, or maybe your parents, grandparents or friends use us, and you want us to survive, please donate if you can. Whether you choose to make a one-off donation or commit to a regular monthly donation your gift will enable Clarke Foley to continue to provide a space and the compassion for older members of the local community to live their life to the fullest, regardless of age, ability and what pace they live their life.
A heartfelt thank you from all of us.
